Content, interesting presentation, professional transaction handling, and good customer communication routinely wipe out page rankings as being important. All the other stuff, it`s just playing around with getting visibility. But it`s no different than it`s always been.
The both are important.
I think, they both are important. It all depends on quality.
I think traffic matters more then a pr , for a common person only search results maters for its query ,or web search , they don;t even care about website PR , and traffic directly proportional to Keyword rank.
They are two different things altogether, but both are important. Page rank is about Google's determination of which pages are important based on incoming links. Traffic is all about visitors. Both can contribute to each other, positively and negatively.

Of course traffic is more important Page rank is just a factor to determine your page importance but traffic plays the major role
Yeah traffic is more important to pr because if your site has high pr but unable to get traffic then it is useless.
According to me..both are synonyms to each other.If the pagerank increases then possibly everyone will click the first few websites that appear on the Google webpage this thereby increases traffic.I got the SEV(Search Engine Visibility) from Tucktail.com as they provide keyword and suggested topics,submit the site to over 100 search engines and also provide reports which improves the pagerank, eventually improve the website traffic.
