How do I set up an autoresponder for an online form?  Currently, I have a php form set up on my website that emails me appointments.  How could I set it up to automatically email a reply to the person who filled out the form.

Note - If I reply to the email, it sends a random email to my server, so it`s not an option to set up an auto reply with our email account.

Thanks in advance.

I`ve never used an auto-reply, which is what you get with most
hosting accounts.  If you want a true autoresponder with sequential
capability you need a script like ARP3 or Infinite Responder -
though many online business people, like me, prefer to use a 3rd
party autoresponder service.

If you have an elaborate form you may want to parse the opt-in
data from the form to the autoresponder... you get the data from
the form and the person who filled it out gets in your autoresponder
sequence.

InfiniteResponder is free, though flawed.  I tested it and it works ok.
ARP3 costs a couple hundred bucks and is a first-rate script.

If it is already emailing you a reply, it can easily mail a reply to the other person by executing a second mail function ... if that is all you want. If you need some help with the programming of that, contact me.

Aweber is the one most of my clients use and it appears to be a reliable system. Many email contact systems such as Constant Contact and Mail Chimp have au
