There have been some great ideas shared in this thread. I have learned a lot and decided that perhaps I am getting too caught up in the "big business model". I think it`s probably second-nature for dreamers like all of us to always think BIG... and there`s nothing wrong with that.

But maybe we need to look at things in a smaller light sometimes.....  thanks for all of the great comments.

Other threads have discussed how easy it is for entrepreneurs to NOT think big. They get stuck on what`s impossible, impractical, what won`t work, and so on. Then there are the threads that discuss how details and working "in" the business overwhelm the overview and working "on" the business.

Yes, you should think big! But it`s like all of life, where if you find yourself getting obsessed, you`re going in the wrong direction. As they say, "all things in moderation." :-) That means thinking about getting big, making billions, and so forth, but not thinking about it all the time.

They (I wonder who this "they" is?) also say, "one step at a time." :-)

Some people start small and want to stay small. There`s nothing wrong with that. It`s just not what I want. I`m starting small with a clear (to me) path to big. Of course I feel like I walked into a once in a lifetime opportunity. That doesn`t hurt either. I think it ties in with what we`re reading in the book club.

I don`t believe I have seen this resource mentioned on this particular thread, but checkout http://www.score.org  You can search for a business counselor with experience in the area that you are interested.

Good luck!
