Where and how to get an unsecured loan?

Where and how to get an unsecured loan?
I don`t have any real estate for collateral but the bank would accept a CD.
Any one with knowledge on how to go about this? Is there some banking
institution of some kind that can be trusted?
How do I locate a dependable business financial advisor?
