I don`t know about microsoft.. I wouldn`t want to end up with over 200 security packages.. It seems like everything they develop needs patches... Oh I got a free Pen from Microsoft and guess what.. Even their pens are not realiable... It broke in half....this is not a Joke... It broke on me after one use..

I would go with something stable and reliable. I`m pretty sure somehow Microsoft embedded Internet Explorer into the Program Correct, Ken?
Just having Internet Explorer Embedded into the software makes me not purchase it... for security issues... It makes it Hacker friendly. I read an article on IE and why MSoft should have never integrated IE into WINDOWS... It`s their nightmare now. I think they took care of that in WINDOWS VISTA (project Longhorn). But until I know they are reliable I wouldn`t use anything from MSoft. Take a look at all the updates... Over 290 I think... Thats alot of security issues...
just something to think about

We tried Quickbooks Online at first and it was just a little to slow and clunky. It would have been great for our accountant to be able to view it from his office though. There are services that store your Quickbooks file online so it can be shared though.

When you cancel they give you 90 days to view and download the data in various formats.

I ended up going back to the desktop version of quickbooks. I didn`t really enjoy using Peachtree but that was quite a few years ago.

We started using Peachtree and liked the product quite a bit.  We were at a time in the process where we needed to change who handled the accounting roles and the person taking on that job was very well versed in Quickbooks.  We made the switch primarily based on what they were comfortable with since the feature sets are basically the same.

We did play with Microsoft Small Business Accounting 2006 when it first released.  It was not a great product at first, but the new service packs corrected many of the issues so today I believe its a choice you should look in to.  I believe Microsoft`s next release of this product line will be amazing.  Make sure if you install SBA 2006 than you have the latest Service Packs installed as it does alter the product for the best.  If those service packs were out when we evaled the software, we probally would have stayed with it.

Hope this helps.
