Now this is what it`s all about! We need to have quality listings, and we need to support each other. So let`s get the word out to have people sign up in the Marketplace with their listings, and then let`s do all we can to spread the word to help our "entrepreneurial brothers and sisters" succeed. If you`re going to buy a product or service, let`s always first consider the entrepreneurs in our community who need our business and deserve to succeed... From this thread

I have been here since 2006 and have listed in the Marketplace. I have seen SuN really grow and glad of it. The Marketplace was suppose to be a place as Jeff stated above where we could really help one another.

Recently I have seen 2 listings for a eBay promotion on the Marketplace under most popular where a buyer can get savings by getting the sellers fee.  Iit is a one month promotion that they keep posting each month. I don`t think of eBay as a small entrepreneur and also why should a buyer get the outrageous fees the seller has to pay. How can it be the most popular when each month it changes? This is more Microsoft and eBay trying to get the word out since they are in trouble.

I am all for helping other entrepreneurs and watching them grow but the major companies have a budget for advertising that many of the small ones don`t.

PS: Joel mentioned a few months ago that they were going to be some major changes to the Marketplace but then heard nothing more about it.
