article marketing is something that our company uses for our clients as well, however it should be used in synergy with other techniques. You should consider submitting your website to non-reciprocal directories. Here is a list of free directories to submit to - http://hitslog.com/submission_list.

Also, you should consider starting a blog for almost any kind of website. We find it is much easier to gain editorial links to blogs posts, from which you can funnel link weight back to the main pages of your site.

I also use article marketing as my primary method of attracting traffic Because its been so effective,  I haven`t found the need to use other methods of marketing.

Yeah article marketing combined with Squidoo is basically SEO on steroids.
Mark McGwire has nothing on those methods :D

Social Networking is another SEO technique that can have excellent results. Getting organic traffic this way is often easier than working for months to rank high on the SEs. However, this can also be combined with article marketing, blog and forum posting and on page SEO techniques to provide a gradually-increasing flow of traffic.
