If you could have anything modified or upgraded (as far as software) on any of your digital devices (Cell phone, Mp3 Player, digital camera, PDA, GPS system, Etc...) what would you do?

 

There are a lot of things that I would get upgraded... For example I would have someone develop me a product to be able to change the channels on my TV from my cell phone. Also, I would maybe ask for a product to be developed to enable me to call a number on my cell phone and have the latest bus-schedule for the city I am in download to my phone. Then I could find out at anytime in the day what bus to take from where I am at.

 

Anyway... what would you do? I am sure there are some very innovative ideas out there.

I guess the biggest aspect that I would like to be changed or upgraded for me is the security of the internet and personal online data. As we all become more dependent on the online transactions and communications, we (at least I do) feel that being secure is an essential part of doing business and managing our activities online.
People are willing to bypass some of the other inconvinient  tasks that come with dealing with computers and internet, and tend to find way around it. However, security of personal data, trustworthyness, and underage security issues are much more and serious problems that users of all ages will not be willing to bypass and live with. So,  ONLINE SECURITY is the #1 PRIORITY. I`m sure that I`am not Alone on this one.

I`m just looking forward to better/stronger wireless capabilities as that technology evolves.  I don`t have (or want) a cell phone or PDA - but, as I`m not chained to a desk of any kind and I travel up to 1/3 of the year, I look forward to being better connected via my well-traveled PowerBook.  Love the fact that Jet Blue hopes to soon be offering wireless Internet connection on their planes and look forward to other airlines doing the same.

I do hope that better online/computer security is part of that evolution. I am amazed at how many neighbors of mine still have unsecured wireless networks...
