I am a 22 year old, recently out of college, and I need a small sum of money, as far as startups go. I am trying to run an online store business in New Zealand. I am attempting to import, in a high enough volume to be economical, profitable offshore goods, probably in cargo crate volume. Right now I am having some small success just doing it with package delivery, pretty much buying american snackfoods wholesale that are expensive here, and reselling them online for profit.

What I want to move to is a product that already has a very well known brand that is successful elsewhere, but is not in New Zealand, in addition to my other imports. This product, which I will not name for obvious reasons, has a high demand and a very high price in New Zealand according to my research.

What types of startup capital should I be looking for? What I am planning on doing is absolutely profitable, but I am pretty new at this, especially as far as raising capital goes.
