WORKetc's project management features are great, and can help you manage all tasks, to-dos, reminders, calendar events, timesheets, contacts, products, emails, and you can even invite clients to collaborate with you.

The application combines a lot of tools to help simplify the entire management process of a small business. You can manage your entire business through WORKetc if you want to.

You can see their website here: http://www.worketc.com

You might want to take a look at BaseCamp.com

I personally use it to organize my projects and communicate with my staff on those projects. There are a lot of collaboration features and you can access it from your desktop, tablet or mobile phone.

We are using Cloud here at Carrington Blake IT. The main benefit is that you can access it anywhere at any time and any device.

It is very easy to use as there is no need for servers and you are not restricted to one physical PC. This also means reduced IT costs for the company.

You can find out more about Cloud computing here http://carringtonblakeict.com/services.html

Good luck with effectively managing your business!

basecamp or teamworkpm.net are both very good.  i prefer teamwork.  asana is a 100% free option that will most likely work for what you are wanting to do (if free is important to you).

teamwork has a free option and supports tasks, commenting (including via email), notebooks, collaboration, etc...'

I use evernote for keeping track of personal tasks.

developers usually prefer pivotaltracker
