The best thing money can buy seems to be the "Herman Miller Aeron"
It was the de facto chair in the valley just before the internet bubble burst

Many people just swear by this chair, I might purchase one if I can find
a good bargain on e-bay, because brand new they`re pretty expensive, but my
butt & my back deserves it.

Do a Google seach on "Herman Miller Aeron chair blog"  you will find many
entries about this top notch chair ...

Best Regards from France,
Tarek

Hi Tarek,

Thanks for the information! Does anyone have thoughts on those "saddle" chairs that help your posture?

I most often work standing up at my tall desk - after too many years of working in pain at a drafting table.  When I do sit at my desk, it is on a Bodybilt stool-height  ergonomic chair.

Thanks for all of your input everyone! I think it all comes down to trying different chairs to see what works best for your work situation and body.

Have a great day!

Hi, I don`t have a favorite office chair. Wish I did. I want one a little more comfortable. I have no idea about the chair you are inquiring about, because I have never heard of it. Wish I could be of more help. You might want to think about adding a cushion to the one you have; like one of the massage type ones. They are a little more expensive, but may relax the muscles while you are trying to work and then you won`t be so stiff. Try not to relax too much or you may not want to work. Ha ha.

Hi Melanie:

I happened upon your request in my web search whether people out there are asking what kind of office chair to use and more importantly HOW to use it.  A chair that has the ability to raise up and down, tilt back and forth, has a seat back tension adjustment, and adjustable arms make up the essential features to look for.  Then it is a matter of what your budget is.  I`m a chiropractor that specializes in helping people manage their body movements during the course of their daily activities.  At the heart of most painful and debilitating musculoskeletal conditions is poor posture which is an outcome of poor movement patterns/habits.

If you would like to learn more let me know.  I`m getting a feel for how many people out there are looking for this type of information.  I can help you and others redefine the SITTING EXPERIENCE into a more dynamic, productive, and healthy one.

Look forward to your reply.
