I was surfing and found a Don Loper page, “What it means to be an Entrepreneur“.
http://www.donloper.com/business_and_entrepreneurship/what_i t_means_to_be_an_entrepreneur.htmlAfter reading it, I decided to share it with our SUN community. I laughed when I browsed down the list, as I could relate to some things at one point or another, throughout the years. I would have, "Forgetting to eat, throughout certain work days, added onto my list". A lot of my clients and friends go on about how thin I am. I`ve had clients who see me out the door with a wrapped up cake, or bagged fruit & vegetables. I also get coupons to restaurants and for Christmas gifts, I always get plenty of restaurant gift cards! Really, that is kind of cool, but in a way, it is a reminder of all truths, I am more driven to do what needs to done then I am on taking care of the number one thing that even makes my business what it is, because I am my business. When approached of how do I stay so thin, I always try and respond with a logical reason like I don‘t eat breakfast, grab a banna if there is one left in the fruit bowl in the morning and try to eat twice a day, but in all truth, it is about once. But in real truth, what I want to say would not be so appropriate. I want to say, "Just do what I do, then you`ll know why I am so thin". In my case, it is called, "Solo Entrepreneured, on top of handling all else, totally on my own ". And I do know all the restaurants and when I call on my cell for take out, they know my name, automatically. I upgraded my kitchen, buying a new refrigerator, kitchen table, microwave, etc., but left the stove alone, as it can be used for storage and was not a true need. All in all, I would not trade what I do for anything, because I really do love the challenge of it all. But it was funny to read about some of the things that do come with one wanting to go on the venture of what we call Entrepreneurship. Can anyone write a list of what they think, “What it means to be an Entrepreneur?”
