It was eluded to above, but not said out right - when you work for someone and get a steady paycheck, you don`t have to worry so much about CASH FLOW.

Once you own your own business... it`s all about CASH FLOW.

It`s nice to always pay yourself at least something first, but if you don`t plan for your actual cash flow (something like the annualized income concept, mentioned above), you can get yourself in a whole lot of trouble.

I knew about the problems with cash flow, so I thought I was prepared... but it is different when you are in charge of actually managing it as it happens.

I believe that time management is a "biggie", after you have received, saved, borrowed, whatever finances you need in order to actually start the business. When people are home, they tend to do home things instead of actually treating their home office or business as a REAL business.  I

Illiteracy among adults is a big problem.  It`s not that they cannot read -
many choose not to, seeking the most simple, easy-to-understand
methods and missing the principle.  Like children gobbling candy
they end the gorging session feeling sick.

I just felt this needed to be repeated.

double agree.

I believe this is due to the climate of our society. The masses are programmed to be or become consumers.

Phones and Cars (among other things) aren`t just marketed as a means to communicate, or a way to get from Point A to Point B; these things have Personalities.

The consumer is told that what he sees in front of him is all that he needs, an all-encompassing solution if you will.

So it doesn`t surprise me at all to see so many people looking for "the miracle pill" or "the already built package" that`s going to make them money as soon as they unwrap it or set it up.

Marketing is something many people fail at. I believe this is because, in lieu of the above, so many people are taught to be on the passive side of the equation- getting sold to, and not the active one, where they are doing all the selling.

The fact that people aren`t taught to think a certain way, or to possess a certain mindset could be a leading reason why many people fail to function with a particular mindset at all (i.e. the one that`s going to make them money)
