To whom it may concern,

I have been working on a website for about a year now and have signed up with various companies to offer there products (books, Software, Ebooks, etc.).  I have most of these products in my library and on my external hard drive.  I guess my purpose was to share my experiences with these products and services to like minded people.
Back to my question.  What is a good SEO program to incorporate into my self-improvment website?

Call me skeptical,  but I personally think SEO software is a load of bull, and would never buy it. In my opinion, nothing beats organic SEO. That being said, Brad Callen`s SEO Elite http://seoelite.com is reputed to be the best. However, please don`t view this as an endorsement of the product,  because it`s not.

Personally, I use "Human Being v.1.3.9b" It comes with "Mind," and "Imagination," both well-implemented features, hard to find in other programs. It`s an application that was ported over from legacy systems first developed in long-ago history, similar to accounting. Cost is usally prohibitive, except for enterprise corporations and slave-owners, but you can usually lease the program for short-term rates.

All seo programs at least the majority can be done organically, may take more time but you can hire people to do it, do it yourself and enjoy the fruit of your labor

I have used SEO Elite and Web CEO. But I think one has to use a substantial keyword research tool separately, I use: Wordtracker.
Apart from the tools Brad Callen`s SEo Elite and Aaron Wall of Seo Book site have some great resource you shouldn`t miss.

@DKing - Roger that.  I am all about organics, too.

@CraigL - Love your posts, as usual.

I use a combination of online tools, commercial software and the "Human Being" application, as well. After trying just about every program out there for SEO, I came to realize they all did pretty much the same thing.  ( However, I am starting to write my own software to take care of the more tedious chores that a machine can handle.) But that is just the data collection part of the job.  There really is no substitute for the analysis a human can provide.

Here`s the problem with using a computer to do SEO writing:
Spelling Poem

Eye halve a spelling chequer
It came with my pea sea
It plainly marques four my revue
Miss steaks eye kin knot sea.

Eye strike a key and type a word
And weight four it two say
Weather eye am wrong oar write
It shows me strait a weigh.

As soon as a mist ache is maid
It nose bee fore two long
And eye can put the error rite
Its rare lea ever wrong.

Eye have run this poem threw it
I am shore your pleased two no
Its letter perfect awl the weigh
My chequer tolled me sew.

You`ll get an excellent mix of key words and phrases, but often it`ll be something nearly pointless when read by an actual person. Not always, I suppose---there`s that old story of the million chimpnzees typing at random, eventually turning out the works of Shakespeare.

from my modest perspective, choosing a SEO program does help catapult my site to the top pages..

for instance with the right concoction of word strategies, market analysis (other top ranking sites), for example I saw my site being there in the 1-10pages in Google- depending on the search criteria. And I think its quite spot-on, as within 1 month (some search engines need some time to index pages), I can see it there.

In a nutshell, I think it depends on your strategy be it organically or paid SEO. At the end of the day when you see it there in the top pages, that`s all that matters. But with the exception of time or money spent..

I think hes asking for a "program"=software. I believe that webceo is the most complete package, but you first need to understand how seo works. the seo software is to help you track your success.
