To make enough money that I don`t have to work in a corporate environment.

smurph05... according to the book, Think and Grow Rich... You must be willing to give something of yourself to others in order to get. You stated you want to `earn enough money to pay for your children`s college education all by yourself.` What will you do to do that?

sk12879... same question to you... What will you do to do that?

Yeah if you read enough business books, especially ones mostly about
money, you`ll find that money itself is never the key motivator. This is a
common understanding of success.

I believe that is why Vincent (iouone2) questions your answers to the
post topic. Putting your children through college and leaving the
corporate environment are certainly fine goals and personal motivations,
but they really aren`t a "dream for your business".

Financial gain can be a powerful aspiration for your business but it really
shouldn`t be the #1 dream. Does money really fuel your passion more
than anything else?

Actually, when I say "make enough to leave the corporate environment,"  I don`t mean get rich.  That would be great, but I would like to make my current salary (far from rich) doing something that I love.  What I love entails bringing my passion for delicious healthful foods to others.

So my short-term dream for my business is to become a regionally recognized and respected food manufacturer, to be seen as one that produces foods in harmony with an active, healthful lifestyle.  My long-term dream is to do the same on a national scale.

CampSteve... Yes. You understand my point precisely.

sk12879... So really your number one goal for your business is to share your excitement and joy for healthy living foods! That`s great! Tell me, now that we are talking about a subject that can be expanded... are you the cook or the buyer of such quality foods? Are you doing making steps toward your goal?

I`m the cook and I am taking steps towards that goal.  I am working hard to launch within the next 4-6 months.  I`m currently putting together a web strategy along with a marketing plan while I finalize my recipes.  Along with working a regular corporate job...such is the life of an entrepreneur huh?

No site address yet because my wife and I haven`t decided on the company name yet.  We are narrowing it down , so within the next month or so I`d like to have a domain, but it`s not that big of a deal yet.  I have another website where I can park the build for this project until we get a domain.  As for grand opening, like I said, probably 4-6 months.  I have a few more ducks to get in a row, but things are progressing.  Cross your fingers!

sk12879.

If you were to put any of your "taste in music" in your products, I think we`ll have a very "healthy "crime-spree" on our hands. WILD DUDE!
