PageRank algorithm was described by Lawrence Page and Sergey Brin. It is given by
PR(A) = (1-d) + d (PR(T1)/C(T1) + ... + PR(Tn)/C(Tn))
where
PR(A) is the PageRank of page A,
PR(Ti) is the PageRank of pages Ti which link to page A,
C(Ti) is the number of outbound links on page Ti and
d is a damping factor which can be set between 0 and 1.
And another factor it is depend upon the website content, quality of backlinks
Page Rank is an link analysis algorithm which measures the quality of a web page according to its Back Links.
Is it safe to say the page rank of your website is not as critical as the page rank of those pages linking to your site (backlinks)?
@DigitalTwist, both are equally important in my opinion.
The Search Engine algorithms will always be somewhat of a mystery. Just remember 3 simple things.
1) Clean code
2) Relevant Keywords to your product or service
3) Relevant Backlinks
the page rank is simply the ranking of your website in the search enjine,.
It means that where your site is placed in the search enjines,.
