This is just a topic for amusement`s sake. But (if you use a desk for your business) what does your desk look like? Is it sloppy with paper scraps and sticky notes everywhere?  Is it organized? Do you have lots of pictures on it, or is it relatively decor-free?

My desk is currently organized and tidy, but I just cleaned it off this morning.  I`ve got 1 picture collage and a stack of graphic design magazines sitting on one shelf. A box of kleenex and a huge cup with multicolored pens and some paperclips is sitting next to the monitor. A few file folders are stacked near one end, and a couple of books are on a shelf above that. So yeah... not too bad right now :-)

What`s yours look like?

I recall back in 1984, my Regional Manager came to visit our branch (some 50 miles from corporate)

He looked at my desk and asked my Sales Manager what was with the messy desk. My Sales Manager`s answer was to the point ... he simply pointed to the Sales Board and asked the Regional if there was a problem.

Here it was the 12th of the month ... and I already had quota for the month.

My Sales Manager could always tell the type of month I was having by simply looking at my desk.

Nice & neat ... no sales.

A major mess ... leave me alone, I`m having a great month.

At the office:  a big flat screen, keyboard and mouse in the center. A tissue box on the right with tape dispenser, pen/pencil holder, and a calculator. Oh, and my coffee mug.  To the left I have a phone, a photo, some files/folders, and my purse.  There is a wall on the left side of the desk and is covered with pictures my son drew: there is Batman, Garfield, Phantom of the Opera, Sagwa, and Spider Man.

My desk is always clean in the morning and at the end of the day ... but during the day - a big mess!  I call that a clean mess.

I am one huge neat freak when it comes to my office space...but I have to admit...I am a lot like Meitzi.......constant chaos during the day...but it will drive me nuts all night long if I have to leave it that way when I go home!!! I have been told I have a bit of OCD issue with my spaces though...so at the end of the day...everything goes back to its place....and don`t catch me on an emotional day...cuz then if there is a single thing out of place...it will drive me nutty! (Monk...I think that was the latest nickname assigned to me.....so that would make me a cross between Monk and Dory from Finding Nemo)

Wow.. this is a cool Thread.. Ok I have 4 Flat screen monitors running on one System, and a lap top on the left... Why so many Monitors you may ask, one to create graphics, one to see the code, one to see the actual web site live and the other just for email... Now the laptop??? Just to play music... This is what my desk looks like...

4 flat screens? Don`t tell our SEO guy... he`s pretty proud of his 3 monitor system. I think if I told him about your 4 monitors, he`d ask for another one

Garfield, you say? Of course, I`m from the Garfield capital of the world, you know... Muncie, Indiana :-) I always say I`m a Nermal girl living in a Garfield town. If you`re ever looking for something Garfield for your son, we have a ton of different stuff here. In the 8 years I`ve been here, I think I`ve seen Jim Davis a whopping total of 2 times. Once in Joann Fabrics and once in PetSmart.

Here`s a pic of my desk top. This was taken several years ago, but it looks
pretty much the same, except I have a new monitor.

My desk is messy some days and clean on others.

Is that your house? Love that color on the walls. I just painted my kitchen, and one of the accent colors is that shade of greenish-tan.
