Recently Google lunched a new update regarding over-optimization. What do you think guys about it? How much it will effect the search results? What the way to avoid over- optimization?
While they claim it only impacted about 3.1% of search queries, the 3.1% it impacted were largely in the "commercial transactional keywords worth a lot of money" group.
Based on the number of complaints online about it (there is even a petition!) this is likely every bit as large as Panda or the Florida update. A friend also mentioned that shortly after the update Wicked Fire & Traffic Planet both had lethargic servers, yet an additional indication of the impact of the update.
Formerly leading up to the update, the update was sold as being about over-optimization. However when it was launched it was given no pet name, but rather given the name of the web spam update. Thus anyone who complained about the update was by meaning a spammer.
I should say, don't think about optimization so seriously then you will not do over optimization!!! Try to provide user friendly contents to your site. Spinning or rotating sentence is not recommend, people don't like to read this. So try to explain everything so simply.
google downed my rank a lot after the update. I am going to creat some unique contents, I hope this will help.
There is too much use of no follow link or PR sculpting to specific page for getting high PR of the website would not make any differentiation. As an alternative they have affirmed that the websites which have low quality content and back links and still at top position due to good off page, update would affect those site.
I think in this way spam will reduce a lot.
I'm not that big into SEO so this doesn't concern me. I'm on a mission now to create great content and I think traffic will come naturally from that.

I think great content will only get you so far. You still have to direct people to your site one way or another.
I think it’s related to the Google penguin, it’s a new technique over the optimization, because a huge number of website owner using the spamming and black hat techniques. Google release this technique to stop the spamming.
Just try to do quality seo.like to get backlink from quality sites and have a good content on your website.
