Cloud based solutions are designed to remove the constraints caused by traditional I.T. solutions, often built around complicated servers which you must own and operate.

Cloud Client Computing will be one of the biggest changes to hit IT infrastructure since the invention of our personal computers. By migrating your business to a cloud, you will release key benefits, that will reduce your costs, and your IT workload.

These benefits are all focused on where you want your business to be, not where you are now. Cloud is flexible and agile, with all the power of traditional IT server systems, at a significantly reduced cost. In a time of economic cost reduction, making this change could save you much more that you expect.

Benefits of Cloud computing include:

  • Mobile workforce – Access from anywhere, anytime, on any device
  • Manage your network with ease – Each PC linked together
  • Reduced capital expenditure – No more need to servers or a powerful PC
  • Rapidly deploy applications to everyone, instantly
  • Eliminate downtime – you are not restricted to one physical PC
  • No more upgrades or licence renewals – We handle it for you
  • You relax – Full professional support and management

We are using Cloud Computing here at Carrington Blake It ourselves, so we practice what we preach. You can find out more about Cloud computing here http://carringtonblakeict.com/services.html

Good luck with creating effectively and efficiently operating business!

Cloud computing is a general term for anything that involves delivering hosted services over the Internet. These services are broadly divided into three categories: Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS), Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS). The name cloud computing was inspired by the cloud symbol that's often used to represent the Internet in flowcharts and diagrams.

A cloud service has three distinct characteristics that differentiate it from traditional hosting. It is sold on demand, typically by the minute or the hour; it is elastic -- a user can have as much or as little of a service as they want at any given time; and the service is fully managed by the provider (the consumer needs nothing but a personal computer and Internet access). Significant innovations in virtualization and distributed computing, as well as improved access to high-speed Internet and a weak economy, have accelerated interest in cloud computing.

Having training software is another advantage of the cloud, in that if you have multiple teams to train, there are various elearning training courses that could, in essence, be run simultaneously for each department.

One department could be utilizing a video training session on HR department regulations while another branch could be enveloped in a simple lesson on how to make better use of Microsoft Office templates for their projects and so forth.

There are many performance improvement lessons to be learned from not just the Cloud, but in the way training software is integrated into such a platform.
