I am trying to find information about what typical or average commercial security alarm monitoring fees are, so I can bench mark pricing

If you have an alarm system being monitored in your business premises, I would love to know what people are paying.  I want to make sure that I get a fair price.

Hi Bthomd,

Alarm monitoring fees run anywhere from $9.00 to $60.00 per month (standard fees).  There are also several things to consider.  Fees are affected by the type of service provided, alarm system, neighborhood, residential vs. commercial account, tthe number of clients you have and equipment employee cost.  When setting up a service, you may also need a substantial liability insurance bond for you company as well. Plus you may have to get a state license.

It depends on how big is your business and the location of your business. And it will also depend on whether you want the security company to monitor your premises or if you will monitor the systems yourself. So there is no standard fees.
