Perry,
I have a website targeted at kids and their parents too.
www.lapiazzadicarolina.com. You will see that my website it probably the opposite of yours in terms of design and image. I am very creative an love design and color. You are more direct and minimal. Both `ways` have their advantages and disadvantages. What I`ve noticed when I`ve perused other websites that target kids, is that their is always a `fun` element or aesthetic to the site. I am also a teacher so I use many teacher websites and I would consider yours a teacher web-site too.
From a teacher`s point of view, I can see that one of the goals of your concept is that you are trying to encourage students and kids to be creative. Writing is a very creative skill, so perhaps your website should reflect that. I think it could "look" more creative and in that way you may even inspire some ideas for your young writers.
My website on the other hand needs to evolve too. I desperately need to increase traffic and I see that you excel in that. Maybe you can give me some tips. I think I need to add some offerings that would appeal to a wider audience. What do you think?
Anyhow, I hope I made some sense here.
All best,
Carolina
