I've been doing some reading, and there are a lot of different avenues you can take to get money and start your business.  This is meant to be kind of a poll - just leave what kind you prefer and why.  I'm not looking for any specifics on a business I'm starting.

Credit Cards - you can max them out purchasing stuff for company(I wouldn't suggest it, but you can)

Personal Loans - online or through a bank

Investors - Angels or "Snakes" (Venture Capitalists)

Bootstrapping - start with a set amount of money, and don't use anymore or go any farther in the hole (ie $5,000 dollars - its a difficult path)

and any other ideas or ways you may have

You could also get a loan from friends and family.

Ideally i prefer loan as then I do not have to give away a stake in my business. However, if I feel the business wont be having any returns for a while and the repayments would be tough, then would give away a stake to a VC in return of funds. Also of course, if i go the VC way, I would take their advise and consultation on effective management of the business.
