when I'm actively on the internet I'm generally plugged into IRC and Facebook, and I guess instant messenger, although there's only a couple stubborn holdouts that still use that nonsense. there's also a handful of forums that I post/lurk on, although most are music-related

most of my activity that doesn't involve human interaction is just finding more music/movies. Rotten Tomatoes, Sputnikmusic, and AV Club = news, last.fm = best way to find new music in the history of mankind, and youtube is used for the quick "i wonder if this band sounds as good as this person is saying" music investigation
