I`m reading:

Mastery by George Leonard (I think that`s the author`s Name)

Best book I`ve read in YEARS...

BTW - Do some research on Kiyosaki.  He`s a fraud.  I bought all his books before finding this out.  Too bad, `cause his ideas "seem" solid.  Turns out he made all his $$$ selling books, not in RealEstate like he claims.

LOL...From what I understand all of these "I will teach you how to get rich guys are frauds".  Robert Allen...makes more money selling his books and seminars with vague and in my opinion fraudulent ideas on buying real estate for no money down.  "Just don`t tell the bank that you`re borrowing the down payment from the seller."   Robert Kiosaki finally admits that rich dad never existed and poor dad wasn`t all that poor.  These guys are pirates, taking money from people who would be better off investing that money in real estate or their business idea.  If you want to be inspired and get some juices flowing, these guys can do it for you, but do not take everything they say as gold.  They will get you in trouble or take your money, or both.

Now about books…

Anything by David Sedaris is great when I want to clear my head at the end of the day.  Everyone should check him out; you will be rolling on the floor laughing.  He takes everyday life and experiences and twists them into stories that you will never forget.  I know it’s not business related, but sometimes it’s good to clear the business out of your head for a while.

After stumbling across www.personalmba.com I tried to engage the president of my current company (who recently won an Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year award) on the subject of his recommended business books.  He said that, in general, he doesn`t read business books.  They`re great for motivation, but not for experience, is the paraphrased quote.

I can see his point, at least for myself. The more time you spend reading about how you`re going to improve your life and change the world, the less time you`re spending actually doing it.  Think about how often, while reading one of those books, you can say to yourself "Absolutely, I agree completely, and when I start my business I`m going to do what."  So put down the book and start, already!

I`m curious, bfleming98.  Where did you get the info Kiyosaki is a fraud?  I like to check it out myself ^^

I`m new here but would like to comment.

My favorite books are Harvey Mackay`s "Swim With The Sharks Without Being Eaten Alive" and "Beware the Naked Man Who Offers You His Shirt." and Peggy Klaus` "Brag! The Art of Tooting Your Own Horn Without Blowing It."

All three have given guidance and to some extent, "permission" to be aggressive.
