Hey everyone.  I'm a freelance writer, I've got a series of health-related books I'm going to put up on a site with a blog-newsletter type setup.  What kinds of advertising would be best?  I'm looking at Google AdWords, Kontera, Infolinks, etc.  It's not my only method of getting known, I will be incorporating other things, like public speaking engagements, social media, link exchanges and partnerships.  The goal is to build the email list over time for people who are interested in being contacted with free articles, and they'll also have the opportunity to purchase right away by going to the site if they wish.  If anyone has experience with Google Ads, Kontera Infolinks or anything similar, I'd love to hear it.  I want all my ducks in a row when I present the biz plan to an investor.  Thanks!

Hey there,

Mobile web advertisement arena is very creative and this is very interesting to know about. The more creative an ad is, the
better the reach. Marketers can use a variety of response mechanisms like the following:

i) Click-to-call
ii) Campaign-specific landing page information
iii)Drive traffic to branded mobile web sites
iv) Email capture
v) Ability to send a text (SMS), picture or video (MMS) directly to the user phone
Some of the examples of advertisement campaigns are fast food restaurant ads with click for a discount coupon, retail store ads which gives sale informations, airline ads with email registration etc..

Discussing on the details about the banner dimensions: The recommended banner widths are 120, 168, 216 and 300 pixels. An analysis of mobiles in the market about the widths threw the info into different clusters. Some of these ar keeping the
banner widths to 4 limits the efforts of creative production, the widths chosen to provide a goof fit for the majority of mobile phones, limiting the amount of redundant "white space" left on the browser, the widths chosen provide for an exact pixel height for both ratios defined, which simplifies scaling of the creative.

While I can say that there will defintely be an increase in mobile marketing, I'm not sure if "mobile devices will become the "to-go" solution for managing their life styles". It will take some time for people to get used to the technology and to accept mobile advertising.

Hope you'll find it interesting. thanks,

Ritchie.

When using Google Adwords you have to choose a suitable keyword for your product so that when customers type in those words you site will be found easily. You could do some SEO to further promote it. Or use Facebook ads, they don't cost much but it is a great help.

If you have lots of money it is good to advertise in mainstream in media, social networking sites. And with the help of your colleagues it would be easier if you will get help from others.

Instead of throwing money and time in all kinds of directions hoping for the best - why not sit down and identify a couple of targeted markets or groups - find out where they are and advertise to them.

This will provide you much more bang for your buck then the shotgun and hope approach.

I think online advertising is the best way to go no matter what. Everyone is on the internet nowadays and it's just plain wrong not to use it.

I am in the email marketing niche myself. It's one of the most cost effective ways to market to your audience (no matter what kind) as long as they have email addresses and have given you permission to send them campaigns. It's not for everyone, but it's certainly a great tool for small businesses who are on a budget.
