Personally I favor Macs because of the issues that PCs have with viruses. I switched to Mac in May of last year and have not looked back.

Avast Anti-virus is one of the competitive anti-virus That's what I'm using. It's very user friendly but tough on malware and trojans.
Hello..
We are currently useng Norton Anti virus...
AVG is definitely a winner, As of now spybot search and destroy has done me well also. I used TrendMico for a long time, then switched to AVG. But soon enough i will have a MAC and everything will be fixed and perfect. I *Heart* Apple Macs
Hi, the best thing anyone can do with anti-virus is stop paying for it! Norton, AVG, McAfee etc slow your computer down and pop up wanting to know something every three seconds. I know 2 PC's with AVG that have allowed pretty bad malware through.
Do yourself a favour and delete it. Then download the free version on Avira anti-virus and activate Windows firewall. It just sits in the background, does a better job, and speeds up your PC. For free!

I have been using AVG for my computer at home for 10+ years now and it's been great. I did try Symantec for two months for my laptop, but it has given me nothing but frustration. I had to immediately delete it, reformat, and installed AVG. All is good now. :)
I agree with Videography.
I’ve used both PC’s and Mac’s. Mac’s are just as susceptible to virus attacks as PC. But, since Mac’s are not the predominant operating system, nobody waste time writing viruses for Mac’s. This also is not my opinion, but the opinion of the IT tech’s I know. But, Mac’s are a bit more stable than PC’s
I use Mac and Windows both .. Mainly Mac for the last 15+ years but I did purchase a windows system about a month or 2 ago.
For windows I use aVast as it is free. When I ran parallels on my Mac (resource hog, which is why I bought a windows instead) I used Kapersky which is a very good program but does have a yearly fee.
