The goal of E-Works Consulting of Michigan is to brief explain remote/virtual office administration, and some of the services we provide.

I designed the site myself, using a software package from Serif.

The url to the site is: http://eworksofmi.services.officelive.com

I need to know (even if the critique is brutal) if my site displays enough "important/necessary" information that could entice a prospective client.

Professional, clean site, looking great.

Downfall: My goal was to quickly find the cost for using an assistant, I could not find this.  At a quick glance I thought the $25 per hour calculation chart sample was your rates.

Picture the business owner who needs you, chances their desk is filled with files and papers, there phone is ringing off the hook and they are being pulled in both directions....the last thing they have time for is reading and reading a website.  I would say 95% of people stay focused with pictures and 50 words or less get to the point words. Example: See Legalzoom.com, we use this from time to time.  I can go straight to what I need, read a brief on what I get and see the price.  No need for me  know who is behind the site, the logistics, or how much I will save (I know this by going directly to your site when I see the prices).  Sure, you need to know who would use your site, but don't give your competitors the list.  Less is best. Simple is better. A coupon for first time users is like a fishing lear.  I like your concept and site, less wording and details.

This is only my opinon.  I am not an expert.  I have two websites and this is just from trial with error and a whole lot of research concerning business marketing.

Keep doing what your doing, your on the right path.

Thanks for the reply.  I reviewed the Our Services page, and you are right - it needs to be changed.

It's a good-looking site, clean and professional.  My guess is that the call to action on this site is to get people to contact you for a consultation, with is in the hot area of the Home page.  My critique is one, why do people have to call you long distance to set up a consultation, and two, why can't they do so at the click of a button.  My recommendation is that the Contact Us For a Consultation should be made into a button that takes you to another page, maybe gives some additional copy, and let's the user decide how they contact you (Skype, e-mail, traditional phone call, etc.).  Also, I would make sure that this is on every page of the site.

Hi,

The design looks clean and professional. However, is this the definitive URL? It's a very complicated one.

Also, the navigation doesn't stand out enough from the text ("Home About us etc."). You may want to use a different color or font to make it more visible. And keep in mind that instinctively people may try clicking on the underlined tex which is where they're already at.

All the best
