Hello everyone, this is my first post.

I`ve finally made the time to pursue an idea I`ve had for awhile now. I created a website in 2004 and in most search engines the page comes up in the first or second position. My concern is the domain name is very close to a SNL skit done in the 70`s and I think a well know personality owns the original property now.

My questions is how should I proceed in finding out if I can continue using the domain name before the ugly shows up. It`s been 4 years since I purchased the domain name and nothing has happened yet....but that doesn`t really mean much.

I have planned on making a sizable investment in taking the site to the next level. Who can you trust to research this issue and what guarantees do you have that the info you`ve paid for is really the truth?

I`m not sure what you mean by when "the ugly shows up," but if you`re wondering when they`re going to boot you off your domain, they can`t. If the domain is registered in your name, it`s yours, and the most anyone can try to do is buy it from you. (Which could be pretty sweet.)
