Hello,

www.unworldmusic.com is an urban media site that aims to provide our youth & young adults (age 14-29) with Urban Entertainment & Enlightenment.  We donate large portions of our Revenues directly to charitable organizations aiding Diabetes, Child Abuse, and Public Education awareness (Un World Fund).

The purpose of our site is to showcase our Radio Show (located on iTunes Podcasts) and Online Magazine.

Our aim is to provide Editorial content, news content, and a base of musical reviews/recommendations for our audience.  Our media is built around Urban Entertainment, Culture, and Lifestyle issues.

Again, our website is www.unworldmusic.com , and we encourage you to check out our "About Us" page, so that our mission and what we aim to do can become more clear.

Un World strives to make a positive impact on our communities & cultures through our media/entertainment outreach.  We truly hope to make a big difference.

We`d LOVE and APPRECIATE your critique and absolutely any advice/insight that you have to offer.

Thank you for your time & assistance,

~ Un World Radio Show Magazine team

If you can create a page that our youth can browse through that shares before and after information about choices and how they can make or break a person... I believe you will win the hearts and minds of those you`ll probably never meet.

Just my opinion in Indiana.

Here is my first impression.  It`s a hard website to look at.  There is a lot of information all over with no real direction or organization to the content.  Most everything is presented like an ad and I am unsure what the value of the site is.  What am I supposed to do here?  I don`t really get it.

Urban youth these days are pretty design savvy.  I don`t see the level of design catered to your target market - from colors to typography.  I think you need to make the site LOOK cool, like the things that urban youth gravitate toward.  Aspects like the squashed US map & iTunes logo and repetitive imagery lessen the visual impact.

It`s a start and you are on your way!  Study some of the sites that your target market visits and borrow some ideas.

(And why do you have an ad for amp`d?  Aren`t they closing up shop?)

I agree.. no design flow... strikes me as stuff just pasted on the page.

For example... all the weather info on the right? Is that important... or more important than any content that apears below the fold?

Thank you olliepure and CampSteve.

* I agree with creating content that will impact the decision making of our youth in a positive way.

* Amp`d Mobile hasn`t given us an official word that they`re closing up, but we do believe they are closing down business.  I agree that there is a lot going on with the site.

--------------------------------------

What we`re attempting to focus attention on, is our Editorial Content.  We have full MP3s and Video Slideshows that have featured interviews with guests.  We don`t intend to make things look like Ads.  We tried to use NFL.com, CNBC.com, and SOHH.com as a starting point.

Just something I caught ..... you want to make a positive impact .... I`m pretty sure I caught the "F" word in the slide show at the top left of the page .... not sure that`s a positive point.

I agree that much of the top of the page looks like an ad section. Seeing the site for the first time and without any knowledge what it should be about, I think a lot of people will be lost right off the bat. You need your statement, your mission, your purpose to stand out at the beginning of the page.

The bright blue on black is a bit harsh on the eyes after a couple minutes.

On your magazine pages, many of the text blocks are actually images with no alternate text. Not beneficial for search engines looking for content.

On the plus side, kudos for the positive messages you are trying to send.

I guess I`m wondering how many 14-19 yearolds use words like "positive impact," "urban media," and "urban culture & lifestyle."
