I have a new business with a product that I am introducing this holiday season that was just featured in the November/December issue of Organize magazine, which is currently on newsstands.  One of our products was featured on the cover shot and another in their "New Things" article.  Hopefully, this will be a good start!

Hi Janet!

Congrats on your article! That`s fantastic!

To get some extra coverage, you may want to think about getting reprints of the article (if you haven`t already done so). Then, you can add it to your media kit and send it to potential, new customers/partners/investors as a credibility builder!

All the best,

Melanie

Congratulations Janet!

Make sure to let all of your local media aware of the magazine feature.  They may want to do some kind of follow-up - or use you for a resource in some other article.

Great suggestion!  We were just working on getting the placement layed out on our web site. You`re right that I should get hard copies made too.  We haven`t created a media kit yet.  I guess that`s something I`ll have to start working on...

If you want to see the placement, here`s a link to a page we`re working on on our website:  https://www.sterlingpear.com/index.php?option=com_content&am p;task=view&id=35&Itemid=181

While there, feel free to peruse our website and send me a personal email with any suggestions.  We`re hoping to launch it November 7.  The date keeps getting delayed unfortunately, making me worried that we`re losing potential sales that the magazine placement may bring.  In the meantime, we have a "Coming Soon" page as a landing page for www.sterlingpear.com in which visitors are encouraged to provide their email address to be notified upon our launch.  This is about all we can do to try to not lose people who check us out only to find our website not yet launched.

Congratulations Janet!

Wow - That`s so cool! Your products are really nice! I could sure use them since I currently store all my Xmas ornaments in an UGLY plastic bin.  =)

I wish you all the best!

Hey GrillCharmer,

I`m so glad you like our name.  I heard your pitch on Startup Nation.  Great job!  It`s fun to hear from you in the community.  The feedback means a lot coming from you.  I just checked out your website and its really great.  You`ve got some fantastic photographs, which I think really makes it look professional.

Janet,

Thanks for sharing your success story.  This is great!

You may want to double check to see if there are any licensing issues for "republishing" the article on your website.  Media are starting to get finicky about this as you may be technically republishing the article.  Now, if you present a link back to the pub there are no problems.

I just don`t want you to get blindsided by any potential fees down the road.

Congratulations!

Jennifer
