I think it is a great idea......just because a movie house has not started doing it does not make it one to pou-pou!

How many of you use services that cater to your needs? Do you pay a premium for that convenience?

So, what if the movie house charge 1.5 x the normal ticket price and you could come back and watch the other half or full movie all over again. What if you watched it twice? As someone else said, you paid upfront ( the company has already invested your money), plus each time you come back you buy more snacks and they get a chance to market more movies to you.

I think it would work.....Good job Joel.

Maybe you can look at my profile and give me some ideas-hey, I need as much help as anyone can give. And here amongst like minded people where it is free, I`ll take it if I get it.

Thanks ALL

Thank you CraigL,

Seriouly the "cool" guy is you. Your postings have examplary, always seeking to serve, making great suggestions, generating ideas and encouraging others.

I thank SuN for CraigL. Keep it coming.

May you remain blessed.

I appreciate you offer of help and gladly accept any comments. Less than 5% of small and medium sized businesses use rich media in their sales and marketing mix. The reasons being no time to deploy, too expensive, too difficult to use, some perception that the technology is not ready for prime time. All of these have been now been overcome.

What innovatives ways of overcoming these perceptions would you suggest?

What if the movie theater realized there was a market for this, given it is usually slow midday trickle of customers and started a "Lunch Bunch" promotion for which one could purchase a pass for a given number of movies, featuring a new movie every other day (meaning the theater would be playing only half of the  movie each day, taking two days to complete). Wouldn`t that bring something to look forward to each day for the movie buff?

If I could watch a movie at lunch spread out over a couple of days, or longer for movies like "Lord of the Rings," I would definately do it for the price of a regular ticket per show.  Something to do at lunch other than sit at the table and stare out the window, or talk about work with co-workers would be awesome.

Our family improv theater will be opening soon, and this is an idea that we have thought of.  We are eventually going to incorporate lunch time shows.  Other live theaters have done it.  It doesn`t seem to be a huge money maker though; my guess is that it`s because the idea just hasn`t caught on.

Umm....I gotta quick question....

Isn`t the idea of a story to be engrossing, capture the person`s interest, and hold them "spellbound" through the drama, collapses, obstacles, and failures until the successful conclusion?

If so, wouldn`t there be a problem if the person just walked away halfway into the story? So they come back the next day....would they still be as spellbound? Would it still be interesting?

I`d think that the solution was the old serial story, with the cliffhanger at the end of each segment. But wait....that`d be a TV show! :-D

If I could have gotten one of those for our car to encourage my husband home, I wouldn`t be seperated right now...

It`s a very simple solution.  The movie theater could sell memberships for weekday afternoon customers.  They can come watch all the movies they want for a set price or maybe a punch card that they can watch x number of movies a month - only good for 1 movie a day - before 3:30 - whatever.  Then they don`t care if you come to watch a whole movie or a half a movie.  Changes are you will buy a $3.00 soda that costs them $.05 or popcorn or whatever so they would be making additional money there.
