Ok, so I have been with Vonage for the past year or so but now it looks like they are about to go the way of SunRocket.  I hope they make it through but all these lawsuits against them are making it look pretty grim.  Anyways, I figured it might be time to change to a more stable VoIP service.  What do you guys suggest?  I have one friend who swears by Net2Phone and another that has been with Lingo for a while.  Anyone here have experience with either one of these or is there another one you would suggest?  Thanks.

Disaster Recovery / Business Continuity tip. Make sure that your calls will roll straight to voice mail or can be re-routed some other way if your Internet connection is down. Many businesses rely on telephone communications to be readily available, if the power goes out or the Internet goes down or performs NOT as expected you could end up with problems.

While I haven`t tried them I do like how the plans look at Broadvoice (http://www.broadvoice.com/). They have a decent unlimited plan that allows for multiple inbound and outbound calls and allows you to plug into your own equipment or get equipment from them. I`m partial to Asterisk (http://www.asterisk.org/)

Hi,

I am a Sunrocket victim but now I am a broadvoice customer.  They`re pretty good. The pricing is good too.  I had to purchase the box and pay a set up fee but they have a great pricing plans overall.

I hope this helps some in your VoIP solutions.

Jake,
I don`t know how far into your business are you, but I found myself using Vonage as my main VOIP provider, although there are other companies out there such as packet8 that offer bigger packages (more professional) but if you`re just starting your business Vonage is the way to go. Not to mention you can add an 866 number for 4.99 a month

I just use my line for personal use at the moment.  I will check out broadvoice as well though.  Thanks.
