Just thought I'd share something that is working well for us at the minute that could be applied to your own business.

 

If you have plans for growth and need the services of a call centre or a receptionist then consider outsourcing to a virtual call centre and virtual office. This way you get the outsourcing benefits at a fraction of the cost of what it would cost to set all that up in house.

 

Then if everything goes to plan and it takes off and works you could consider investing in staff and resources to bring things in house when you already know it works therfore reducing your risk.

I have tried having virtual assistants - it has its own issues but definitely works well for most. Virtual assistants need to be properly screened and they need to be competent. If you can't trust a virtual assistant, working miles away from you, then stay away from this trade. 

It will be very hard to isolate the ones that can do the job from others who think they can do the job. You just have to screen them and keep an eye on the specifics. However, if you find the right one, then this will work wonders.
