Hello everyone,

I wanted to touch base and see if those interested in creating a green/eco mall of products and services complimenting each other would like to come together to see how we can make it work.  I have the outline for this in my head.  It is just a matter of getting it all into a cohesive plan.  Those who would be interested in this, please let me know and we can work on a plan together.

Could you explain the Internet TV Station??  This sounds like something fun since I live in front of my computer.  I rarely even turn on the TV anymore as a friend lets me watch his TIVO through SlingPlayer!

Way to go Katt! Glad to see you started a forum for your idea!

I posted some info in our "green" forum here: http://www.startupnation.com/pages/community/forum_posts.asp ?TID=2820&PN=1&TPN=3

I was doing some research on this TV station idea and I came across this: http://www.cablemaven.com/

she is charging $179 for a start-up kit but maybe you can get in touch with her for some input.

Also, there is some great info in regard to local/community media here: http://www.alliancecm.org/blog.php

I will keep my eyes open!

My vision is a company that becomes the most ethical, most comprehensive online, infomercial and franchised "green" and ayurvedic firm in the world.  The TV Station would be purchased and then the mall could do shows to feature the different companies and projects that sell in the mall.  A revenue generating model for the TV Station and the Mall has to be determined.  It can be flat fees or royalties of sales.  Here is where I am at.  I have an executive summary, I have a rough plan, but am stuck on the financials and cash flow sheet.  I have a VC group that will sign a non-disclosure agreement before even looking at anything.  I have already made it clear and put it in the executive summary that I along with my team retain majority control.  I am willing in five years to go pulic and five years after that cosider a buyout on the provision that I get to stay on as CEO and keep at least part of my team.  If they bite,  we rock and roll.  I have asked for over $1,000,000 in the executive summary and the plan.   I have to show a comprehensive business plan including sales projections (help!!!!)  that is the part I am really stuck, the financials.  For example, what the firm will make for five years projecting that it does manage to become number one in five years.  I am going to require a team to show interest in being part of the team and in signing on to the mall as a listed, participating business. If anyone can create the financials for me (projected realistic earnings) and express a firm interest in being one the businesses to advertise and be part of the TV Programs aspect, it would help a lot.   Thank You for the tips etc..., I am so grateful I found SUN you guys are all terriffic.

Hey Katt,

Thanks for the additional info.  Forgive me as I play a little devil`s advocate.  As a consumer, what is the "value" of the TV Features on your station?  I understand the value of the mall itself, but what extra`s will the station provide?  Will it be something similar to QVC or Home Shopping Club, or do you have a different vision in your mind?

Woohoo! that`s what I`m talkin about! Katt you are on fire!

Are you talking about a TV station that is exclusively web based? Are you looking into public access? Are the VC`s looking for a stake in the programming? Projecting revenues might be a bit tricky as this is a different approach with not too many comps to run off of, but I think if we can breakdown each sector of revenue seperately, and get some more feedback from current industry participants, we will get a better idea about how to skin this cat!  My G  B`s project is humming along and I see how it can help to fire up this project for you, and help you tap into a clear revenue stream.

I will PM you with some more info and questions so keep an eye out! Onward with your bad self!
