I was so ready to get rid of my bookkeeping that I hired a virtual assistant without properly interviewing. Well, we have parted ways...and I guess the bright side is that I learned a thing or two about sucessfully working with a virtual assistant.

The first lesson is to hire the right person.

I`m looking for someone who has experience with 1shoppingcart.com or a very similar shopping cart/auto responder program. Also with reconciling credit card payments with a merchant account/ authorization company and QuickBooks.
Also the ideal candidate would be able to format my newsletter in Dreamweaver or know HTML.

Anyone know where someone like that might be hiding?

I`ve got a new and fast growing diet coaching business.

DARN IT

Too bad I don`t have bookeeping skills!!

I`m a GREAT worker and have always done well learning whatever needs to be learned, but I never learned that skill!!

Well, if you don`t find anyone and you`re willing to teach a hard worker.

Let me know!!

Sandra,

One of the best places to find a VA is www.assistu.com.  All AssistU VAs have gone through a comprehensive 20 week training program.

reasonableSandra - This may be a suprise, but, I signed up for Start Up Nation Yesterday and have been looking at Virtual Assistant positions on-line for a couple of days.  I recently quit my job as Comptroller of a Country Club because the stress levels were killing me.  Now I am finding I miss the work (and the regular checks).  Are you interested in discussing this?
