I want to share some ideas on video marketing and see if we can get a good discussion and brainstorm going.  The number of people who search for videos online is staggering and it makes sense.  The web has evolved into an interactive media and people want all their senses tickled.  And why wouldn`t they.  After the microwave came out and we found out we could nuke a hot dog in 60 seconds, how many less people do you think people boil their weenies anymore.

The average attention span of a visitor on your website is about 17 seconds.  Your either going to capture them or lose them.  More and more consumers are choosing video over text.  Plus, video gets picked up by Google fast!

I said all that to suggest this -We all need to market our business with video, now and especially in the future.  So how do we do it with out breaking the bank?  Make your own video.  I also asked myself, how do I do this if I don`t own a camera?  Here is the tip I want to share that has helped me.  I found that I could create simple, short videos and drive great qualified traffic to my website by combining Veer.com and Microsoft Photostory 3.  Veer is a service that allows you to sign up and download high quality stock videos.  MS Photostory makes it possible to edit the pictures with audio and effects to make a decent quality ad for your business.  When you upload it to YouTube you can choose keywords that are related to your business.  You will get traffic!

I also use iMovie on the Mac to create videos with pictures only. No video camera required. Here is a fun little example on Flickr. El Tajin

BTW, Flickr videos are limited to 90 seconds.
