A "small business," from the little I understand of some kind of definition, seems to have either or both of two basic criteria:
- It has fewer than 50 employees (re: OSHA regulations),
- Generates revenues of $1-10 million per year.
I`m not a degreed MBA or business person, and don`t pay that much
attention to formal business defintions. So the above is my personal
interpretation of what "seems to be meant" by the term small business.
But I do know that a bootstrapping microbusiness has little to do with
those two above criteria. How long it`ll take to reach either of those
goals, that`s anybody`s guess. But there are lots of businesses that
are already there.
So it comes down to your target market. :-)
