Chuck,

I am in search for an angel to finance a startup jewelry company. High end better designer jewelry directed toward better department and jewelry stores. Production, designer, and marketing/sales people in place. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Have you completed a business plan? That is what a angel is going to be looking for. Plus, what do you have to bring to the table besides a business plan? Most of the time, an angel investor invest in businesses within 50 miles where they reside.

All positions are in place. We can put together a good business plan for both to individual stores and also online. As you can see by ArtGypsy.com, the presentation is sate of the art. Tremendous potential.

I think ArtGypsy.com has a lot of potential because the concept is different. It was nice talking to you the other day. I hope you stay focus on your business, and hope to see a lot of the product in stores.

Hi - Is it accurate that Angels tend to invest within 50 miles of their location?  I`ve never heard that but its interesting data.  BTW, do you know of any sites that conglomerate all the angels out there and offer some searchability by geography (given the 50 miles above?)

Thanks for your thoughts

No, I do not. Honestly, many investors I have come across are investing in industries they are familiar with. If you are looking for investors, you should focus on the industry you are in. For example, if you are in retail of selling pet supplies, talk to other pet supply store owners as potential investors. Many will partner with you.

There is a website called http://www.angelinvestmentnetwork.co.uk/home

Basically you post you business proposal then business angel will contact you, its costs £100, I used it a couple of time, but sometime you tend to find time waster who have not intention of investing, but just want to be noisy.

If anyone know of any private investors please can you let me know.

Regards

Jay
