My partner and i are looking to get in touch with a night club in washington dc and would like to set up avending stand on their sidewalk space to serve hungry patrons during and after shows. I would like some advice on how to draft a favorable proposal, terms of agreement, should we rent the space? as well ask how best to contact them with our proposal since its a private establishment we will be dealing with.
Thanks,

akindele

If I were a club owner, the first thing that would cross my mind would involve the legality of selling food on the street, and the "appearance" of a food cart (regardless of what you actually have) in front of my club.

I wonder...could you get some sort of licensing and certification, and lead with that? For example, in your proposal if you started with something like,
"We are a licensed food service company, currently offering on-site refreshment to the ABC company. Our clientele are the construction workers who would prefer a fast meal in the morning or for lunch. Now, we`d like to offer that same convenience to your patrons as they leave the party.

"Our vendors provide quality, unobtrusive service, and an excellent menu selection...." and so forth.

I guess what I`m saying is to present yourself as a hyooooge company, sort of like ServiceMaster. :-) Imply that thousands of nightclubs around the world, routinely try to help out their starving and drunken customers by offering them a fast meal as they head out the door. Y`know?

I also believe that would overcome the doubts of something like, "Jeez...I dunno...having a hotdog stand right outside the club? People would think I`m running a dinky bar..!"

Most club owners, other than those with a corner bar, envision their club as the next "thing" in town. :-) Build on that fantasy, and present yourself as more a "value-added" service organization. My opinion, anyway....
