Hello everyone, does anyone have any experience with an executive office or virtual office. I do not want to put my home address on my business cards and website.

Full info is that I am founding a non profit. Currently I use my address for the registration of the business. Buy while designing the business cards I realized I don`t want the home address on the cards.

I eventually will need a server and network created and I wanted the employees to work from home. I didn`t want to have to rent an office which would house the server and everything. I want to keep the costs as low as possible.

Any suggestions?

I have used an executive office in the past that also provided virtual office services -- mail receipt and forwarding, package receiving, and answering services. They would answer my line with my company`s name, and then forward the call to voice mail or a number I specified. I found the service to be excellent and it did both protect my privacy and project a very professional image. The location I worked with also had offices and conference rooms available by the hour or day for face to face meetings, so you only pay when you use their services.

hi kyra,

i currently have 2. these are ideal in today`s business / economic world. many companies are getting out of expensive brick and mortar leases and getting themselves temp office space and virtual offices.

i recommend regus for this, the best deals and the biggest player in the industry. my fiance works for them in the corporate department. let me know if you want to talk to her. she sets interested folks for a tour in their area. i suggest reading up on it online to see if that is what you want.

I do not think it is essential to have your address in your business cards. Usually the ones I see from homepreneurs are contact numbers and their line of business. If you are not comfortable placing your address just don't include it in your card.

I have a friend (sales rep) who works out of her home. The only thing she puts on her business cards is her contact information. If the customer wants a face to face meeting, she goes to them.

I would definitely suggest a virtual office to keep costs low, but one that offers rent by-th-hour boardrooms and offices, this way if a client ever wants to come to you, they can meet you in your office. Intelligent Office has locations all around North America.

As you have cleared things out that you want your employees to work from home and you don't want to rent out office, then the only best option left for you is to use virtual office.

Nowadays, not many business owners are specifying their business location on visiting cards. And, if they want to arrange meetings with their clients, then they are renting out meeting rooms for the convenience.

Hi Kyra, like WebJunky, I also think that a virtual office, at least for the address, receptionist and mailbox service is almost a necessity for entrepreneurs who are working from home, especially if you are uncomfortable with the usage of your home address for business or like myself, constantly on the move.

As for the servers, you have pay web hosting companies to do it for you. Even if you hire staffs that are going to work-from-home down the road, they can simply collaborate with tools like Dropbox, Basecamp, Google Drive or Podio so no worries there.

Both of them has its own advantages, however, virtual office sounds better. Following are some benefits of using virtual office for business:

1. Saving of money
2. Premium locations
3. Lower risk to business venture
4. Chances to get more business online
