If you are referring to “Business Plan Pro” by Palo Alto Software, then go for it. The software provides a solid framework for developing business plans. While I wouldn’t recommend that you rely on their sample plans for guidance, the software itself provides detailed comments and instructions pretty much for every single segment of your plan. You can also subject your projected financials to so-called sanity checks or acid tests and even compare your key ratios with industry benchmarks. Business Plan Pro provides for a variety of export functions (e.g. into MS Word, Excel, and Adobe PDF file formats) and customization features.
While it won’t guarantee that your plans of becoming successful entrepreneur will become a reality, it’s probably the best possible starting point if you decided to tackle the important task of developing a business plan without any outside help.
I hope this helps.
