I started a blog http://setpacenow.blogspot.com and a website http://www.setpacenow.com.  Both sites are in the beginning stages, but I`d like some feedback on how I can improve the site and make it more user friendly.  I would appreciate all comments, both kind and not so kind :)  Please send all comments on the blog or info@setpacenow.com

Thanks!

Hi Seth,

It is really nice to see that you are setting up a blog for your site. However, I would recommend you to set up a blog as part of your site rather than setting it up on Google Blogger. For example, have the blog on http://blog.setpacenow.com or http://www.setpacenow.com/blog/. For a blog to be on your own server, all you need is Wordpress that is downloadable from Wordpress.org, a free blog software.

Some of the advantages of hosting your blog on your own server include more control over the content, widgets and communication. More importantly, your blog will not get shut down by Google Blogger without any solid reasons.

If you need help in setting up a Wordpress blog for your business, feel free to contact me.

I had the exact thoughts as Wayne does on this.  The widgets that you use on your own domain in a blog will help you tenfold!  Plus the customization that you can do to the blog, will make it able to mash well with your site.  It also will help with you being indexed faster in the search engines, since the blog will be getting updated regularly the spiders will get crawl to your site more.  Your Page Rank will go up.  And after you gain a readership you can monetize the blog, and it will be a great second income.

I operate over a dozen blogs, and only recently started a personal blog that I am using on wordpress.com.  As this is an experiment blog I didn`t put it in it`s own domain... but I realize that I will be doing so within the week.  Even if it doesn`t do well, I only wasted $8 for the domain name.

each blog post = rss ping to blog engines, search engines etc. since you blog more frequently than build web pages, a blog integrated to your site will do wonders for your traffic, RSS subscribers and essentially your business as a whole

I like the idea of using my own host to create a blog.

Thanks!

Thanks for responding.

My keywords set, pace, now, is #1 on Google, Yahoo, MSN & several other search engines.  As a matter of fact, on google, I have 10 of the top 12 spots.  I`ve been working on my site today so it`s not up until later, but I`m receiving between 1,000 & 2,000 viewers on a daily basis.  What else can I do to increase traffic and convert the viewers into buyers?  I`m working on a shoe string budget, and I got those rankings because of article writing.  Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
