Good suggestion. But I think these days even blogs are not free! Many bloggers have too many on hands that are waiting to be spread out. They have to find some way to do a selection first. As we know, sometimes it's just impossible to judge which one is better purely according to a product itself. So a sponsorship or some other value such as a link exchange may seem reasonable here.

If you are a young company and can't afford a PR agency or can't get a meeting with editors, try pitching influential bloggers.  It's usually free and can get you great traffic if done right. Whistler accommodation For example, if you have a new children's product, contact dozens of mommy bloggers.  Send samples to the ones with the best traffic and most active content.  Let them spread the word by having them direct traffic to your website of Facebook fan page to enter a contest.  If nothing else, the product reviews and links to you will help your SEO efforts.

It is a good idea to check the page rank of the site you want to have a link from. The higher the rank, the more value to your page. There are some great tools out there that can help you with this, whether you use firefox or chrome. They run in you browser and give one full details on the page. Just have a look through your available browser plugins or search online.

I agree with using bloggers to promote a business. The reviews that these blog writers create stimulate the curiosity of those who read  and follow them. If you have bloggers on your side, then you will have an army of skilled soldiers to help you in the competitive world of business.

Think about it from their point of view. So to start with,

1, free bloggers need content. If you want to get your item blogged about you need to create the content yourself and make it easy for the bloggers to blog about your product - nothing less than spoon feeding them and giving them all the credit. Make it easy for them and if you are lucky someone will blog about it. But the reach of that blogger is probably limited and little or no return will come.

2, you will need to incentivize the good bloggers by offering something. Not necessarily money or product. Google terms of use and the FCC are making it harder for bloggers to receive any kind of gifts without disclosures that turn many bloggers off. Here is the good news; bloggers probably don't even want the product anyway. As far as motivation Next to in line, after inbound links and $, is followers. If you have 1,000 Facebook friends, they will be interested in talking to you. Think of it from their side, what is in it for them. Show them that you will be able to move the needle on their subscribers and they will talk to you. Do you have an email list? There are ways to leverage that without bugging your friends. Tell the blogger that you will do one-three email blast selling their blog to your friends.

I hope this helped!
