We are located in Sydney Australia and considering starting a branch office in California. I have been able to find info about the paperwork and fees involved in actually setting up a branch office but I am wondering what the banks need in order to give you a bank account? Is just a tax id sufficient?

They are going to require you to go into the branch to set this up. Do you have any contacts in the US?
