Hi! I have an idea for a new product that basically consists of modifying an existing product and using it in a different way. I`ve read Barbara Carey`s book, and it seems her son sort of did that with several of his products. I`m stuck as to where to go next though? Her book really didn`t help me there. This is (obviously) not the new product, but a pretty accurate representation of my problem. Pretend that your great idea is to take paper drinking cups, make them out of cardboard instead of the regular paper and you need them in a non-standard size. I`ve contacted a few of the "paper cup" companies to see if they could make the cups in a 13oz size for example. I haven`t heard back from any of them. Also, I would have to get another paper company to supply the paper cup company with the needed cardboard to make these new 13oz cups out of. What I`m trying to do is actually made out of a type of paper by the way. I`ve seen companies that make prototypes out of plastic and metal, but I haven`t found anything with paper? Can anyone point me in a direction to go next? Thank you so much for your help!
