I recently discovered that my partner founded a new company with another board member without informing me. The critical issue is that the company is based on a product idea that I presented in one of our meetings – I have written evidence of this circumstance.
As the sales performance of my actual business is going down and I guaranteed a considerable loan together with my partner, I do not know how to deal with this situation. Firstly, I cannot trust my partner anymore and it is not likely to expect high business commitment from him in the future. The other issue is that he clearly stole an idea that was generated internally.
How would you act in my situation? I just don’t want to get lost in bankruptcy and be in business with a partner that I completely lost trust in.
