My whole system is with 1 Shopping Cart and for the past year have used them for all of my subscribers who want my email, e-products, newsletters. I also use them for my gateway to my credit card transactions. Needless to say, I have a lot invested in staying with them. But my "list" is bleeding and I think it is because of them.

Many of my clients have the same email address suffix (the local university) some of them get mail just fine but others read my email as spam and then 1shopping cart puts these CLIENTS! (many are actually my paying clients!) on a "no" email list. YIKES.

The only solution they are offering is for me to pay to have my own dedicated ip address, for which I`ll pay $249 to set up and $149 per month to maintain. (I already pay them $79 per month.).

I guess I`d be willing to do it, if I thought it would solve the problem... but I`d love to know your experience and if you have any other ideas

I`m not familiar with your program, so this is kind of winging it. If some get the email fine and some get it as spam, perhaps part of the problem is in their ( your customers` ) email client; maybe you could encourage them to add your outgoing emails to their "safe" list.

As far as the pricing ..... sounds extremely high and unreasonable to me.

I also use a version of 1shoppingcart and because I do a lot of testing with emails I know for a fact that their deliverability sucks! They have also been very unresponsive to my requests for help with this.

I`m testing other solutions - specifically aweber and iContact. Their deliverability is better but having them work in sync with shopping cart is a nightmare! With aweber creating sublists and managing subscribers is really difficult. And I find several of the iContact features too cumbersome making the learning curve way too long for my liking.

I just found out about the private IP option with 1shoppingcart (I don`t think it`s something they really want to promote) and I`m about to go for it. I`d also be curious to hear from others who use this option and how it impacted your email deliverability.

Second that.  You`re getting ripped off.  Unless your server is a dedicated server.
