Hey everyone! I`m spending my morning trying to find great ways to advertise my new home based jewelery business. I found www.BizAdSplash.com to be an effective, different way to drive traffic to my site. I just started using it and I want to know if anyone else has checked it out or had success with it.

I don`t know if there`s a magic pill for driving massive amounts of traffic in a few short weeks or even months. Most people who are able to do it well have spent at least 3-4 months really mastering each aspect of it... I`m still trying to learn how to do it, but if you find any techniques or new methods, be sure to let me know! The website looks good. Have a great day!

Hi,

Nothing beats a brick and mortar operation even if its a plastic table and a plastic chair at the corner of a busy street.

I am also in the jewelry business, to be exact gemstone mining. I deal in facetted rubies and sapphires. Offering your client something different is always the key.

Online you are competing with huge numbers of retailers their but on the street you compete with only the people present there. Smaller number better odds.

Consider starting an affiliate program with google or commission junction. This allows other site owners to advertise your site, and you pay them only if you make a sale.

Hi Robert,

Maybe you've already done this, but you can really easily sweep up some local business by getting listed on Google Local Search.

It probably wouldn't get you national exposure, but when someone types in the name of your city/town + "jeweler" or "jewelry" or some variation like that, you might as well show up at the top locally.

Have you set up a local listing with Google yet? If not, it's really easy to get started; all you need is a Google Account (which you already have if you use Gmail).

Hope that helps!

Phil

sending post topics to blogs that you like is a great way to get your URL out there. It takes time because a lot of big blogs won't reply for weeks but once they post about you and your work it reduces your traffic instantly!
