Hello, SuN.  I just wanted to say thanks to the entire community for the motivation and energy I receive from browsing the forums.  Some time back I requested feedback on our website and received some good advice.  Admittedly, some of that advice still needs to be implemented.  One snippet of advice was to create a tagline or service statement to help us standout.  Well, we did that, added it to the website header, and began to use the tagline on all of our marketing materials as well as rate quotes, invoices, and letterhead.  What an amazing response.........between the originality of our name and the tagline, we are starting to build a nifty little `brand` within our industry.  After some research and discussion regarding our growth plan, we filed for a service mark on the tagline today.  Thank you SuN for the inspiration and information that sparks our little outfit!

Hi, James.  I did.........it`s a simple, straight forward `phrase only`, standard characters, no stylization.  I did file an in-use TeasPlus ap.  We did quite a bit of research...............think we should be alright.  There is a possiblity that we will be denied registration, as I found that there is a slightly similar one in use, though there is obvious differentiation between the two.  Just crossing our fingers and playing the long-term waiting game!  LOL

Not sure if you`ve read much of Seth Godin`s work, but I think you`d enjoy his writing on trademarks.

I hope you enjoy.

Well, I just learned a valuable lesson.  When venturing into new territory, I should always `search` the SuN forums first!  I just viewed your website, James and probably could have saved myself a little time if I had just gone their first, LOL!

I know this is off topic, but seeing as how I started the topic, I suppose it is okay to go off topic...........

Please share with us the story behind your appearances on the History Channel and on the Discovery Channel.  I`m quite interested to know what you were involved in.  Kudos on your success!
