Hello,  fist timer here.   First off this site is really help full.  So I just purchased a Meagatouch touchscreen game from online (the ones you see at bar`s).  I was planning on putting them in laundry mats for people`s amusement while they wait for the clothes to wash/dry.   I know the local bar  owner`s to 2 different bars here and they both say the machines do good (ruffly $200 a week). These are not like a vending rout. I don`t have to supply them with nothing.  Just stop by from time to time to check them and hopefully pick up money.  So why not put them where people sit and have nothing better to do?   Sure they wont bring in revenue like the bar`s do but i hope they do something.  My questions are: as anybody thought of this or tried this before?  Or if you like this idea then maybe you could suggest other places I could put them in.   This is just a way to generate more money to really start a business someday.

It`s an interesting thought. I`ve used a coin-less laundry for years (one of the weird things I do to stay connected to humanity) and they have old arcade machines (plus tvs; all but one on Spanish stations) and pop/candy vending (and laundry supplies).  This one is part of a small chain and I`d expect fairly typical ... just thinking your idea might get some traction, but I`d worry about if you`d make much money as I don`t see people really playing games or looking for distractions.  This is an interesting read/summary of the bigger market: http://www.msgcpa.com/general.php?category=Industry+Library&headline=Laundromat
and I think this shows a good cluster http://www.pwslaundry.com/ ... another place to consider might be those oil change places.  Have fun.

some cities/counties require a license for coin-operated devices of any kind.  ask your lawyer about it.
